Gordon Parks was briefly an American History photographer who then switched to doing freelance photography who was born on November 30 1912. Aside from photographing historical figures, he also took photos of fashion for magazines and directed movies. He died at 93 in 2006.
Our group enjoyed the simplicity of his black & white photography as well as his ability to capture emotion.
